Dexter was my brother’s dog-in-law. Dexter belonged to Vic’s wife at the time she and Vic married. I wouldn’t say Dexter was dumb. I wouldn’t say Dexter was smart, either. One thing is sure, though; he didn’t like to go outside. Although there was a perfectly functioning doggie door, he didn’t see the point of braving the elements when there was a long hallway which wasn’t being used for anything else. This was a constant bone of contention. His idea of a compromise was to “go” just outside the doggie door, on the concrete patio.
