I’ve enjoyed returning to the beach in the current strips; I used to place the characters there regularly, at least once a year. No, I haven’t regained my enthusiasm for lying on the broiling sand for hours at a time, but I’m lucky: I have cartoon characters to do it for me!

I want to thank those who’ve reserved a copy of the book. Remember, to assure you have a reserved copy, you need to send an email to: preorder@arloandjanis.com. Don’t send your request to the usual email address. (You know who you are.) Also, if you don’t specify quantity, I will assume you want a single copy. And since so many have asked, yes. The reserved copies of Beaucoup Arlo and Janis will be signed. Do you get the sense I’m making this up as I go along?

(Cartoonist’s note: I can tell I had best nip this one in the bud. I really am sorry, but it will be impossible, practically, to personalize any books sold on the Web site. Signed, yes; personalized, no.)
