Another old cartoon that hasn’t been seen since it appeared in newspapers in 1988. It’s another example of something I mention often. It’s an older cartoon that relies upon the drawing as much as the script. Cartoons such as this were rare in the early years, but by 1988, I was thinking more like a comic-strip artist and less like a newspaper writer and editorial cartoonist. It’s also appropriate, because the kind of activity depicted in the strip, gardening, is what’s keeping me away from the blog and other cartoon-related matters these days!
