If you read the "literary" section, you know by now I like to go a little nuts now and then. Sometimes, I go stark raving bonkers, as with this sequence. I love this kind of stuff, but most of the readers I hear from don't care for it, in all honesty. When this series ran in 1997, I actually had a few letters from agitated people who thought I really was going to change Arlo and Janis into squirrels permanently.
