The storm has come, but it has not gone. I know from experience that the extent of the damage won’t be evident at least until late today. Expect the most harrowing scenes to come from the New Jersey coast. Beyond that, residents of the northeast corridor are dealing with a winter storm capable of its own historic impact. They’ll be living with an active storm well into this week, regardless of the mess already left behind. We wish them well.

A tragic update to the HMS Bounty angle: the lifeless body of one of the two missing crew members was recovered yesterday, and the other crewman, the captain, has not been found.
