A marmoset’s life

The poor people in Iowa! Tornadoes and rain are making life miserable for a lot of them. Cedar Rapids is severely flooded, and I know how destructive a flood can be. When the water does recede, life doesn’t simply dry out and return to normal. It’s a mess. I feel for them.

The above cartoon is from one of the many beach series I’ve drawn over the years, this one being in 2006. Placing the family at the beach always stimulates my imagination, because there’s something about the beach that naturally encourages introspection and reflection, although some insights are more notable than others.
