This is one reason I really can't show you the exhibits themselves. A photograph just doesn't do them justice. And there are so many!! Another reason has to do with nasty copyright issues. I did take this picture at the Titeuf exhibit yesterday. It's called "Homage to Babar." That's Titeuf, passing Babar the elephant on the street. I took this picture, because it stirred a memory I'd almost lost. Babar most likely was the earliest cartoon influence on me. I remember being captivated by the drawings of Babar, his family and his exotic kingdom as I sat on my mother's lap and watched her turn the pages. Babar, it turns out, was created in France. | |
