Where do ideas come from, indeed? Years ago, I was in a Chinese restaurant with a friend, who was a newspaper columnist. We received our fortune cookies at the end of our meal, and I couldn't help noticing the wrapper had a Texas address on it. (I told you, this was years ago.) My friend subsequently called the company and got a great article about the fortune cookie business.
