I’ve been out of town a couple of days. Did anything exciting happen while I was gone? Seriously, or not so seriously, my favorite comment (or tweet or whatever!) after The Game Saturday night was, “Hide your trees!” I really was out of town but watched the Iron Bowl with friends. Drove 300 miles yesterday coming home, and everywhere I stopped people were talking about The Game. I heard several conversations that began, “I’m not a football fan, but….” Of course, “not a football fan” doesn’t mean the same thing in the southeast that it does in, say, New Mexico. It just means you would go visit a sick parent in the hospital on Saturday if there were no games on TV that involve top 10 teams.
