Sometimes, I've felt I am faced with the choice of following Gene and becoming a teen strip or retaining the focus on the relationship of Arlo and Janis. Having said that, I agree with many readers that much of the material involving Gene is some of my best, and it's been fun revisiting it here at arloandjanis.com, and I will continue to do so. And, I will work harder to weave Gene back into the daily newspaper strip.
