You may have noticed that Arlo and Janis don’t entertain a lot; that makes this little sequence of comic strips from 1996 somewhat unusual if for no other reason. It also was drawn in a period when Janis was growing out of a personal insecurity bordering on the neurotic that had plagued her and her marriage since the strip’s beginning in 1985. As we shall see, she still was capable of jealousy when this strip was drawn, but I think her reactions are more normal—and perhaps more accurate. Stay tuned.
