I did not know Buzz Dixon last year, but I know him this year. Buzz is a writer and blogger who was kind enough to point me to his New Year’s Eve post, his nomination of the Top 10 funniest comic strips of 2011. There are some well-known cartoonists among his picks, but the one that caught my eye was No. 4, from a feature called Ollie & Quentin, by Piers Baker. I was not familiar with Ollie & Quentin, but it is, or was, a strip from the United Kingdom, distributed by King Features in the U.S. I say “was,” because apparently it only recently has ceased to be distributed in the Colonies. Bloody shame, I say.
