The so-called little things

Fess Parker is dead. Fess Parker, of course, was Walt Disney’s Davy Crockett during the 1950’s. He reprised the role, as Daniel Boone, for a popular television series in the 60’s, but for those of us of a certain age, Fess Parker always will be Davy Crockett. My father attributed my love of boats and boating to hours of watching Davy Crockett’s keelboat adventures, and he might have been absolutely correct.  There is an official Fess Parker fansite. Nothing as of this writing had been posted there about Mr. Parker’s death, but it is part of a larger site that will give you a very good idea of what Davy’s been up to since he came out of the woods.
