When this comic strip originally appeared in newspapers, I received an angry letter from a woman who said she cut it from the paper before her child could see it, calling it the most "shocking" thing she'd ever seen in the comics. I'm genuinely sorry the woman was upset, but given what I was trying to accomplish, I took satisfaction in her reaction as well.
