Tackling controversy again at arloandjanis.com: from 2001, discussing the healthy diet.
Well, better late than never, right? I hope you will agree. Except for a handful of problematic cases, which I am working to resolve by day’s end, all the rewards claimed during the recent “Kickstarter” campaign have shipped. But for one glaring exception, that is. The new book, tentatively entitled “Arlo & Janis After Dark.” I promised the book would ship in November, but I have failed. Fulfilling the rewards for your generous contributions generally has been more daunting than I’d anticipated. I’m not complaining, mind you, but everything has taken longer than planned, and I apologize for that. I’ve been putting off this conversation hoping to make as much progress as possible, but here it is Nov. 30. Having said all that, one reason for the delay is, I am trying to do a good job on the new book. I did not want to toss off a sloppy pamphlet just to satisfy my obligation to the many who chose to receive the book. Actually, I am excited about the project and think it will be something worthwhile. Obviously, this wouldn’t be the problem it is if it weren’t the holiday season. I know a lot of the books are intended as gifts, and I feel badly. It will be the first of next year before the books ship. I am hoping sometime in January, and that seems reasonable based on where things stand now. I know you will remember, the entire “Kickstarter” campaign is for a good cause, and come winter, when all this other truly is behind me, I am going to share with you the progress that you are making possible at “the parsonage.” Thank you for doing your part, and I apologize for not doing mine in a more timely fashion.
