All right, I didn’t get around to a weekend update, as advertised, which means the same but sounds better than “as promised.” However, I enjoyed my Labor Day break, and I hope you did, too. We’ll just have to finish off Lost Key over the next couple of days. I was a much younger man when I drew these comic strips, with little range in my general experience. I appreciate the encouragement, but I don’t think I’d be very interested in carrying on this strip today. If Gene’s life after school does take him to the coast, and we visit him there often, I still don’t foresee a life-is-a-beach type strip. However, I don’t know a lot more than you when it comes to the future of the strip.
