Sometimes, events overtake you. The comic strip running in newspapers today was drawn a few weeks ago and romanticizes snowfall, which normally would be OK. However, most of the country, including many in the south, are heartily sick of snow and ice. Speaking of, the deep south is bracing for its second winter system this year, and it’s only the first week of January.

There have been a lot of personal reflections on the comment board this past week, much of it sympathetic in nature, prompted by a death close to one of our friends here “emeritus professor.” This morning I discovered another personal message, containing good news. You might want to go back to the comments under “Putting the trailer before the horse” and read what Robby sent us. You might miss it otherwise, because for whatever reason it orginally was caught in moderation. Check it out, and have a good weekend, everyone!
