Extra, Extra!

Truth to glower

By Jimmy Johnson

I have been consumed by logistical matters the past few weeks, but I’ve been paying attention. I want to thank you for the kind words that have been written about Beaucoup Arlo & Janis. Your reaction to the book is humbling and gratifying. To make a sale is a great thing, but, above all, I wanted you to like the book.

Since the books arrived from the printer, I’ve had some very capable help taking care of business around here. However, the book itself was a one-man show. The concept, the design, the layout and the editing all were done by me. I don’t say that to boast but to explain why your enthusiasm means so much to me. My fear was that the book would appear amateurish and sloppy, not worth your money. When I myself first saw the finished product, I was reasonably proud, but what parent isn’t? Your kind words finally allayed my fear, and that, my friends, is worth a lot.

There’s always room for improvement, though. I suspect we’ll be doing this again someday. Suggestions and constructive criticism are welcome, too. Thank you, again.
