Phoning it in

by Jimmy Johnson

Good morning! I’m happy to announce modest success in the “responsiveness” department. You should be able to go to this website on your phone and see only the gibberish I post, not the scrambled gibberish you’ve been seeing. Now, it’s on to tablet responsiveness. *sigh*

    Your portion looks pretty good on my phone, but I don’t see the comments that I just read on my tablet.

    But I do see yesterday’s comments.

    It seems I was thinking that yesterday’s comments, that I read today, were actually today’s, so maybe what I see on my phone is just fine. Maybe I need a little more coffee. Maybe I should just shut down my tablet and go pick up stray branches in our soggy yard ?

    Thankful that Milton did not live up to its truly scary potential. We had minimal damage and never lost post power. Cousins in Fort Myers who almost lost their home due to Ian had only tree damage this time.

      Didn’t proofread as well as I thought. Ignore that extra “post”. I’ll see myself out!

    Today’s daily comic, 10/12/2024, is yet another so familiar. I commented on GoComics;
    “Once again, Jimmy hits home. Arlo and Janis are like reading about me and mine.”
    I wonder if Jimmy knows me and is just being secret about it. Or, we’re blood related. Or, we’re ‘normal’?

    Latest changes look great on my Galaxy S23 Ultra phone with Edge browser. Headline, Recent Posts and Responses all look good. Loads fast too. Keep up the great work Jimmy!

    Thoughts & prayers to those in the southeast reeling from Mother Nature’s latest.

    Cheers from Wisconsin, Dan

    I usually use my computer to view the site but after seeing the posts I tried from my phone (Samsung A52) and my tablet (Samsung S7 FE). On both devices, the site loaded, looked like, and functioned like the same as the computer website.

    Jimmy, thanks for reinstating the website.

    Looks you’ve gotten rid of some – I am being most charitable – unnecessary comments. Hallelujah! [Thanks a heap, JJ.]

      PS: I had mentioned friends in FL who rode out the hurricane in Bradenton. They are all OK, having suffered only a brief power outage. However, they do not yet seem to be back at their own place. The state forbid travel right after the storm; maybe that ukase is still in effect. Or, maybe they are enjoying visiting their son and DIL. Or, maybe their place is a soggy mess. I was promised information when they got back.
