Life imitates art

A lot of you probably noticed I didn’t get around to moderating yesterday until late in the afternoon. And on a busy day, too! I’m sorry about that. I’m continuing with strips from the spring and summer of 1999. This one was inspired by all those cartoons I watched as a kid. I would watch Daffy Duck get his beak blown off by Elmer Fudd’s shotgun only to reappear, unfazed, in the next scene. I thought, “Why isn’t he dead?” It’s a wonder I became a cartoonist at all.
