I was going on to something entirely different today, but I came across this series that last ran on the Web site over two years ago, and I decided, “Hey, if I use these, I won’t have to spend any more time looking through old cartoons.” So, we contine to revisit Gene’s love life, this time going all the way back to 1995.

Several of you have written already this morning to mention that the daily cartoons appearing on the United Media Web site, comics.com, are in color. It was news to me. Or if they told me, I forgot. I keep telling you, I’m flying by the seat of my pants here most of the time. The cartoons are colored by staff in New York without input from me. I think they look pretty good.

I feel for the people in Texas and Louisiana. I know what they’re going through. We’ll  talk a little more about that tomorrow.
