Because I was busy and couldn’t post Friday, I’m still showing cartoons that were drawn the week of Sept. 11, 2001. I’ve always liked this cartoon; I was proud of it. Eventually, though, it dawned on me that Charles Schulz had, for years, been making the same point much more subtly and humorously with Linus and the Great Pumpkin. And he got dozens of comic strips out of it! *sigh*
