We haven’t talked sports here in a while. As a few have mentioned, the Major League Baseball playoffs have begun. You will remember, our policy is to favor teams representing cities where the major newspaper carries Arlo and Janis. We’re well represented this year! Of the eight teams that made it to post-season play, five satisfy the A&J criterion. Those teams are: the Boston Red Sox, the Chicago Cubs, the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, the Chicago White Sox and the Milwaukee Brewers. Those teams not in favor are the Los Angeles Angels, the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Philadelphia Phillies.

I almost missed my chance to make this little spiel, as the Brewers and the Cubs are on the brink of elimination.
