Remember the olive trees? Almost surely dead. Even the two dozen azaleas I set out (as in dug the holes and everything) two years ago probably are dead. It’s been a long winter, and January’s half over. I did read somewhere the other day that we’re halfway through “meteorological” winter. That would be the three coldest months of the year: December, January and February. I guess that’s something.
