People always assume my comic strip is autobiographical, and I am always assuring people that it is not. For example, I drive a pickup truck.

I told you I’d be back after Labor Day, and here I am. It seems comics.com, the United Media comics Web site, was down for an extended period over the weekend. No, I don’t know why, and I’m about as powerless as you in these situations. I’m sorry for the frustration, but I’m grateful you care enough to get frustrated. For those of you who suggested I take my business to someone who knows how to run a server, or words to that effect, my agreement with the nice folks at United Media doesn’t work that way. And they are nice people. They put up with a lot from me.
