Having Christmas Day and New Year’s Day on Tuesday messes with things a bit, it seems to me. It’s hard to get good holiday traction! There’s a holiday, then there’s a little work week, then there’s a weekend, a little more work, another holiday, then another little work week, etc. Sunday isn’t good, either, for a different set of reasons. Next year they’ll fall on Wednesday; not perfect, but at least there’s symmetry. I think the best days for the year-end holidays are Thursday or Friday.
