Other than providing some initial preferences when the process was begun, I don’t have anything to do with the coloring of the new Arlo and Janis comic strips that you see every day on the United Media Web site. I’m not a big fan of coloring the comic strips that would appear black and white in most newspapers, but normally I don’t worry much about the result. I understand that it’s a tough environment these days, and the folks in the New York office are turning over all the marketing stones. I appreciate that. However, I must say, in defense of myself, the creator, that not since 1975 would I have dressed Arlo in that sky-blue blazer he’s wearing today. I’d dress him something like this.
