There were a lot of comments about the young sailorgirl! Some mention was made of pirates, and it was suggested she was in the southern oceans to avoid African pirates. This may be true, but I assumed she was there, because, on paper, it is the quickest route around the world by water. I do know one thing: if I ever sail around the world, which seems less likely every day, I’m going to take about five years! I’m going to visit every exotic port I can. (Maybe the longest voyage/oldest man circumnavigation?)
