“Where do you get your ideas?” This cartoon from 2006 actually was based on a true event. I helped a couple of musician friends reshingle their house one long-ago Saturday. It was repetitive work, hammering thousands of roofing tacks into hundreds of shingles, but by midafternoon, with the help of a few beers, we got into a rhythm and were jammin’ pretty good. Or at least we thought so. Fortunately, the roof was small and not far off the ground. Ah, to be young, again.
