At least the screens are clean

I shouldn’t invite trouble, but I wouldn’t be surprised if I hear from some folks about today’s newspaper strip. (I know: it gets confusing.) I was attempting to write a realistic dialog among agitated parents and offspring. I never was looking to discount or discredit adoption as a course for young, unwed mothers. In retrospect, I would not have written the “zoo” line. This is one of those sensitive areas. I hope I didn’t upset anyone inadvertently. I upset enough people on purpose.
