There was mention last week of Bill Bryson’s book, “A Walk in the Woods.” I enjoy all of Bryson’s material, and if “A Walk in the Woods” isn’t his best book, and I’m not saying it isn’t, it certainly is his funniest. Has it been mentioned that the book is being made into a movie, with Robert Redford? It’s due out in 2011, from what I’ve read. I must say, that’s an ambitious undertaking by Barry Levinson. One should always be wary when Hollywood takes on a favorite literary work. Casting even an aging Robert Redford in the Bill Bryson role (presumably) already stretches credulity, but I must say I’m very curious to see how this will turn out.
