A pithy comic strip about life, love, lust and puthy cats.

Darn, I missed it, but apparently there was a great baseball game last night. In the Battle of the Bays, Boston entered the 7th inning behind the Tampa Bay Rays, 7-0. Two innings and some change later, the Red Sox won 8-7 with a line-drive hit by J.D. Drew. Did I mention, the Red Sox are one loss away from elimination in the American League Championship Series? The winner of the series, of course, goes to the World Series to play the Philadelphia Phillies.

I should never bring this up, but we here at arloandjanis.com unofficially favor teams where the major metropolitan newspaper carries the comic strip, Arlo and Janis. So far this playoff season, it’s been a mixed bag. Both the Los Angeles teams are out. A&J doesn’t run in the larger papers there. However, both Chicago teams went out in the first round, and A&J is represented in the Windy City.

As mentioned already, A&J does appear in both Boston and Tampa papers, but it is not in Philadelphia. A lot of Phillies fans wrote to point out that the strip does appear in the newspapers of suburbs and smaller towns around Philadelphia. I have a hard time saying that doesn’t count, so maybe I should just shut up about this business.
