I thought I’d start the new year with a simple, unpretentious cat cartoon, for the sake of simplicity and humility, sort of like eating black-eyed peas on New Year’s Day. I apologize. I know things petered out around here during the holidays; I hope you understand. However, those of you who have been coming around for a long time know the cold winter months are when I monkey with the Web site, and I expect this year will be no exception. Watch this space! Speaking of those who have been coming around for a long time, there are quite a number of you. As my friend at the nearby convenience store says after a sale, “We ‘preciate you!” So, for you and for everyone else, I just want you to know arloandjanis.com will lurch into the new year, undiminished.

I love the cat cartoons and this is an EXCELLENT one. You know and understand cats.
Ghost has kept the Garfields out of house in week I have been back but one ran in last night and he relented. The bed is smaller to allow wheelchair so Ghost and I barely fit..
Garfield spent night curled in my hair. He is large cat.
On a personal note, I also love the strip that appears the day before the cat calendar strip: https://www.gocomics.com/arloandjanis/2008/01/06
On Sunday, we returned from Denver after staying with our son, daughter-in-law, and two grandgirls for a few days. Now, we are the ones who keep going away.
And “We ‘preciate you!”, Jimmy. Thanks for your efforts, both here and the daily strips. Happy New Year.
I seldom comment, Jimmy, but I am one of those long-time readers, and I just wanted to say how much I appreciate the work/art you bring to us. I enjoy the blog as much as I do the comics, and I truly do appreciate you. You are part of my daily ritual that keeps me sane.
Happy New Year, Jimmy! Been a reader since the start – first in print, then online, and now, you’re in my comics feed. Look forward every day to your take on modern married life – keep it up, sir!!!
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Or it will end up broke. I think you’ve got a good site now, Jimmy.
Mark, since I did IT support for many years along with database and systems development, I wish the blog software had a “like” button so I could upvote your comment. However, adding the feature is not worth breaking the existing capability. 🙂
Thanks for the shout out for us LONG timers. It beats being called OLD friends. But old friends are sometimes the best friends. I have long considered you a friend….even if you do give Arlo a big nose! Hey at least you give Janis a nice, uh I better quit while I’m ahead.
Seriously you have been peeking into our windows so long, I can never know whether it is art imitating life or vice versa. Keep it up!
JJ-Glad yo appreciate us cause we sure appreciate you starting our day off on good note. Also wonder how you keep looking into your readers’ windows and never get caught

Hey there this is somewhat of off topic but I was wanting
to know if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you
have to manually code with HTML. I’m starting a
blog soon but have no coding know-how so I wanted to get guidance from someone with experience.
Any help would be enormously appreciated! scoliosis surgery https://coub.com/stories/962966-scoliosis-surgery scoliosis surgery
