Coffee clash

Buy the new book, "Beaucoup Arlo & Janis!"Today's "Arlo & Janis!"
The above strip originally was a companion to the one that appeared here Monday, “Holistic treatment.” All the strips this week were drawn the week of September 11, 2001, for what it’s worth. It is interesting to me to examine the work I did in the midst of such enormous distraction.  It wasn’t a bad week, cartoonwise. I think the two cartoons I’m discussing here really are the more pedestrian efforts in the lot.  I long ago concluded that the worst enemy of creativity is boredom, not distraction. There’s something about mental stimulation—whatever the source— that jolts creativity, indirectly more often than not.  I’ll try to show the others before the week is out, and let you be the judge. In for a penny, in for a pound.
