Hardly free throws

This cartoon from 1992 was drawn when the “housing bubble” was abuilding. It was intended more as a comment on one’s home as a speculative investment. A primary abode may or may not be a wise use of money, depending on a lot of variables, but as a primary vehicle of return, I’m not at all sure. One thing I do know, the cartoon should not be construed as insensitive to anyone truly “under water” as a result of financial hardship.
