And crass commercialism, too! Read the details, then click the button to own an HD copy of today’s classic comic strip.
If you’ve gotten this far down the page, you’ve probably stumbled upon the big news here at arloandjanis.com. The link above, Read the details (There it is, again.), tells you what I’m up to here. It’s an experiment, to be sure, and no one expects anyone to pop for a copy of every cartoon that appears, but if you would like a high-quality copy of a given cartoon for whatever reason, you can have it for little money.
Obviously, the inventory at this point is small, but it will build daily. I’m guessing special requests for a favorite cartoon are going to spring up immediately. That, frankly, would involve what I’m trying to avoid: extra work. However, your opinions and suggestions are welcome. As I said, it’s an experiment.
A word about payment; at this time, you must have a PayPal account. I hope this will change. If you fund your PayPal transactions with a credit card or have authorized bank drafts, your download should be available immediately. Otherwise, you may get a message that your download will be available when the payment clears, about two days. I’m sorry about this, but it’s PayPal business. I have no control over it.
Back to reality: a reader has written to ask me, rather accusingly I thought, why there have been no telethons or concerts for relief of Japan, even suggesting that I instruct Jimmy Buffett to get involved. Someone seriously overestimates my juice! However, I do have a talented friend who’s been motivated to help, auctioning several of his excellent paintings. Give his efforts a look. We’ll talk more about ways to give tomorrow.
