OK, OK! I’m back. (Is this thing on?) It’s a summertime thing. I promise things will resume a more normal pace when the weather turns cooler. I thought about simply suspending this blog temporarily until, say, after Labor Day, but a lot of you are nice enough to show up anyway and talk among yourselves. And you can always use this site as a portal to access the current A&J strip on the United Media Web site. Besides, if we all got out of the habit of coming here, it wouldn’t be a good thing now, would it?

I picked a date at random for today’s retro strip, and the first thing that came up was the “falling squirrel” cartoon, a favorite of many including myself. Besides, it meshes nicely with today’s cartoon.
