In comic strips as in old television situation comedy, your child can be mischievous and wayward, but it is always left to the other person’s child to be truly oafish. This dichotomy, the need always to be real and always to be likeable, is the writers’ bane. This is the end of “Pajama Party,” only about a week behind schedule.
