This cartoon has run on the Web site before, but it’s one of my favorites. It’s not my intention to lecture anyone; I am only stating the facts. I began reading up on diet after my heart attack and eventually chose to eliminate a lot of processed food from what I ate, particularly anything containing partially hydrogenated oils, and to restrict high fructose corn syrups–which are almost impossible to eliminate altogether these days. With no other significant changes in the amounts or kinds of food I eat or in my exercise regimen, I lost my own “little friend” rather quickly. Your results may vary.
