I have seldom mentioned specific visitors to this site for a number of reasons. Foremost, when I start giving out props, where would it stop? However, I’m going to break my de facto rule (It’s not exactly a written-in-stone kind of thing, anyway.) to wish well one of our long-time regulars. Hurd Finnegan, who lives in Bay Minette on the eastern shore of Mobile Bay, is about to open a barbecue joint. This is particularly interesting to me for a couple of reasons: 1) I love barbecue, and 2) I’ve been know to pass through Bay Minette on occasion. You can bet the next time I do, I’ll stop by. I don’t have a lot of specifics. I know Hurd has been saying for some time, via Facebook, that his restaurant will be opening “soon.” Maybe he will fill us in. Great. Now I’m hungry.
