Robots are so yesterday

The above cartoon is a true story, in my case. When I was a boy, television remote controls were in the realm of the wealthy or the visionary. Or the lazy. There were only four channels, counting educational television which did not have a lot of great programming at that time. Today, with dozens of channels, a remote control is a practical necessity, although, come to think of it, I watch only about four of the channels.
