You won’t see many Arlo and Janis comic strips with this many words. Obviously, it is a special case. Even when writing dialog for rather complex story lines, I try to keep the wording within three lines. This isn’t easy, but I think it really pays off; I know it’s made me a better cartoonist, literally. I am forced to rely more upon the visual to convey meaning.
