I’ve been to France a couple of times. Theirs is a difficult language. I suppose compared to Mandarin or Hungarian it isn’t so tough, but it’s hard enough for me, especially pronunciations. I made my first great stride forward when I managed to overcome my better judgement and give everything I said a “phony” French accent modeled after Pepe le Pew. It worked! Waiters immediately began to understand me better.
