I’ve enjoyed the comments about cats watching television, especially Jerry’s post about Elvis enjoying Born Free until the lions started fighting, then he was out of there. I can just picture that. Sounds like something you’d see in that comic strip. As for animals actually comprehending action they see on television, I’m not sure. I suspect they’re mesmerized by the motion, and I suspect Elvis’ alarm was triggered more by the sound of the lions fighting than the sight. However, that’s just my opinion. One thing’s for sure, I’ve never had a cat that watched Meet the Press. Then again, neither do I.
