This old cartoon was appreciated by a number of man-types when it first appeared. I suspect their women feel the same way, but when they go for a bit of alone time, the men aren’t as apt to misinterpret and invite themselves, thwarting the mission. I’ll leave it to you to parse the “why” of it all.
