Today’s old cartoon is a bit premature, because Rosetta Stone Day isn’t until July 19, and no, there isn’t really such a thing as “Rosetta Stone Day.” If I remember correctly, the message of the Rosetta Stone was a statement of rules and instructions for a communal bath house. That’s not as laughable as it seems to us today, for the ancients performed all manner of personal ablutions in one another’s company. It wasn’t just hot-tubbing. I should think it was important for everyone to know the rules.
