When I began rerunning this little series on Tuesday, I mentioned my own experience as a boy, how my parents encouraged what they perceived as talent. So, you may be wondering, did I study art? No, I did not. I studied journalism, and it serendipitously turned out to be excellent training for what I do now, draw a comic strip. Don’t get me wrong: I wish I had at least minored in art. We’d all have benefitted. I would’ve, had I known where my path was to lead. Aye, there’s the rub.
