“The Knoxville News Sentinel” was great! Almost 300 people showed up at the newspaper early Thursday evening to gawk at Rheta Grimsley Johnson and me, so many people in fact that the event had to be moved into the paper’s distribution center, part of the printing plant, because it was the only space large enough. The appearance was to commemorate the 125th anniversary of the newspaper and to raise money for the local Friends of Literacy program. I hope the people at “The News Sentinel” were happy with the event. I know I was!

The tree house saga continues here today, and remember: it’s Memorial Day.
