I mentioned the Backwoods Comics Festival yesterday. It also is being advertised as a “Time-Travel Meet Up.” An open invitation is extended to all time travelers out there who might want to stop by. This is the sort of reason I usually avoid these things, but Andy Childress, the fellow who is staging all this, is a friend and a great guy. I’m actually looking forward to being in Louisville, Mississippi, which I think is the first time I have ever typed that. I mean, I’ve never had occasion to visit Louisville, except passing through on I-59.

The time-travel thing got me thinking, though. How do you plan for something like that? What if 500,000 people show up? Will they all be from the future? Will we be allowed to ask questions? Will it have an immpact on the election? How many books should I bring to sell?
