I was anxious to move on to some new things here at arloandjanis.com, but it’s harder than it looks. In case you haven’t caught on, the strips running in newspapers this week are reruns. Reed, my trusted editor and colleague at UniversalUclick, picked out a week of strips to repeat without any input from me. And have you see today’s? Ludwig is having a discussion with Arlo about giving the cat a meatier, more anthropomorphic role in the strip. Exactly what we talked about so much last week. I don’t know if Reed was influenced by us here or not; I haven’t had a chance to discuss it with him. Today’s old new strip is pretty cute, though, if I say so myself. Today’s old old strip relates to the other frequent topic of late, the coming of spring and the things that come with it, not all of them welcome.
